Caring for Make-up brushes

Having a good, clear and blemishless skin is not about applying suitable product or eating food good for skin but also about personal hygiene. Yes, I'm talking about brushes and sponges that you are using everyday for your make-up!

How long often to wash it? Do i wash it keep it? If washing it, use what and how?

Here's is what i had done to my tools:

* Clean brushes every fortnight to prevent the spread of bacteria and to ensure that make up application is smooth.
HOW:
* Cup your hand, fill it with water and work in a mild soap.Gently swirl the brush around in your hand.Don't smash or splay the bristles- you'll break the hairs and ruin the shape of the brush.
* Never soak a brush in water- the bristles may can unglue and the metal fittings mat rust.
* Rinse the brush well by swirling it in clean water in your cupped hand until the soap is gine, Gently press out excess water with a clean towel.
* Shape the bristles into place and then let them air-dry by laying the head hanging over the edge of a table so that air can circulate on all sides.
* If the bristles on  a brush become splayed, stop using as this will affect make up application. Wash the brush and reshape the brush.

Sponges and puffs:
* Latex Sponges should be replaced every seven to ten days.
* Velour powder puffs should last for six months. Wash them in warm soapy water regularly.
